From the sailing point of view the goal in designing the Saare 41 has been to provide a well balanced and stiff yacht that is a pleasure to sail even with limited crew in demanding conditions. The hull shape reflects the latest thinking with a low resistance hull shape that also has the ability to carry the necessary load involved with ultimate cruising comfort without losing excellent sailing performance characteristics, both upwind and downwind.
The general layout emphasizes efficient and functional utilization of the available space that provides a light and airy feeling below. The high freeboard combined gives excellent facilities to realize this. Despite the open spaces the interior areas provide good support in bad conditions, with excellent access between key areas.
The aft cockpit layout allows for efficient sail handling work when sailing to maximum while also providing excellent space and shelter for relaxed cruising.
The construction of Saare 41 utilizes well proven concepts together with carefully optimized material utilization that provides a stiff, quiet and reliable long lasting platform to carry the loads involved.
